- How do I know if my foundation parging needs repair?
- Crumbling, cracking, or missing parging are the most visible signs, along with white staining (efflorescence), visible gaps in mortar joints, or brick that feels soft or flakes when touched.
- Can masonry repair be done without excavation?
- Yes, in most cases. Repairs above ground level are usually accessible without digging. Below-grade repairs typically require excavation to expose the wall, which is often done in tandem with exterior waterproofing when both are needed.
