Cost factors
Cost is driven by the linear footage of interior perimeter requiring work, whether a new sump pit and pump are needed or an existing one can be reused, and any obstructions (finished walls, staircases, mechanical rooms) that complicate access. We provide an exact cost after a free on-site assessment.

Why Interior Drainage Is Often the Right Fix
Many basement leaks come from hydrostatic pressure pushing water in at the floor-wall joint rather than through a single damaged wall. When that's the pattern, redirecting water at the source — inside, at the footing — solves the problem without disturbing the yard, driveway, or landscaping above. Getting this diagnosis right up front avoids paying for excavation the leak pattern doesn't actually need.
Frequently asked questions
Answers to what homeowners ask us most about interior waterproofing.
- Is interior waterproofing as effective as exterior waterproofing?
- Interior systems manage water once it reaches the foundation rather than stopping it outside the wall. Interior alone is usually sufficient when the issue is groundwater pressure at the footing; if a specific wall crack is also contributing, we may recommend pairing it with exterior repair for a complete fix.
- Does interior waterproofing require a sump pump?
- In most cases yes, since the water collected by the system needs somewhere to go. The main exception is a property where gravity drainage to a storm connection is possible, which removes the need for a pump — we'll assess whether that applies to your home.
- How long does the concrete take to cure after installation?
- The new concrete typically cures enough to walk on within 24 to 48 hours, though it continues to harden fully over about a month. We'll let you know exactly when it's safe to resume normal use of the space.
